Every new Reddscan account starts with email alerts enabled on the address you signed up with. No webhook URLs, no bot pairing, no setup beyond verifying the email address. The first matching Reddit post triggers your first email automatically.
Step 2
Add additional email addresses if needed
In Settings → Notification channels → Email, add team aliases ([email protected]), forwarding addresses, or a Slack channel email if you want to route Reddit alerts to Slack via email-as-channel. Each Reddscan monitor can route to a different address.
Step 3
Set up inbox filters for triage
In Gmail or Outlook, filter on the From: address ([email protected]) to auto-label or auto-route. The subject line carries the intent class — filter for "buying intent" in subject to auto-star high-priority matches.

Tips for inbox routing

Dedicated label or folder. Gmail label Reddscan + filter on from:[email protected] auto-archive (skip inbox). Visit the label once a day for triage; high-priority matches are starred via subject filter.
Filter on monitor name. The email subject and the in-body heading both reference the monitor name. Tag emails by monitor — subject:"competitor pain" routes that monitor's emails to a dedicated label; brand-mention monitor emails go to a different label.
Route alerts to a Slack channel via email-to-Slack. Slack channels accept email addresses; paste that as a Reddscan email target and you get Slack delivery via the email path without needing a Slack webhook. Useful for testing before committing to the native Slack integration.
